Volunteer for Flexible, 3-Hour Weekly Online Assistance

The LIFE Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing online support for individuals facing bureaucratic challenges through personal consultation and coaching. Our volunteer community is diverse, comprising individuals from various life stages and professions. Some have experience in the social sector, while others have immigrated to Germany themselves. As a volunteer, you will undergo training to prepare for your role as a coach. We are particularly interested in individuals with personal experiences in dealing with authorities and those who can speak multiple languages, such as Arabic, Farsi, or Turkish.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advice to clients facing challenges with foreign offices and other authorities.
• Engage in coaching and empowerment through regular digital communication.
• Participate in the further development of the LIFE Initiative if interested.

Requirements:

• Availability for at least 4 months, approximately 3 hours per week (flexible scheduling).
• Advanced German proficiency (C1 level, perfection not required). Contact us if you are interested but do not meet this criterion.
• Additional languages highly desired, e.g., Arabic, English, Farsi, Turkish, Russian.
• Basic understanding of German bureaucracy (minimum 3-year residency) and willingness to delve into bureaucratic topics (no prior knowledge necessary). Personal experience with foreign offices or job centers can be beneficial.
• Team spirit and motivation to expand our volunteer network.
