Job Summary

Join Kanadevia Inova, a leader in Green-Tech, as a Structural Engineering Manager. Located in Gummersbach, our team manages complex projects in waste-to-energy and renewable gas systems.

About the Role

As a Structural Engineering Manager, you will independently lead planning and execution processes in structural steel design, manage technical documentation, and provide guidance in bidding phases. Your role includes the development of static design concepts using 3D modeling (Tekla) and advising multiple departments. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning and implementation of structural steelwork for national and international projects.
  • Lead and ensure quality processes across multiple projects.
  • Develop static concepts and create preliminary and main static designs during offer and execution stages.
  • Create 3D structural models for basic engineering in projects like WtX and special waste projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure structural documentation and quality assurance of load-bearing systems.
  • Advise related departments on structural and conceptual issues.
  • Participate in project meetings, cost estimations, and supplier selection.
  • Optimize assembly and construction concepts in coordination with installation teams.
  • Travel approximately 10% of the time to suppliers and construction sites globally.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering or steel construction and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in Eurocodes and in calculations and evaluations of steel structures.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Navisworks; knowledge of TEKLA, R-FEM, and BIM is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with internal and external project teams, including international and virtual teams.
  • Fluency in English and excellent German; French is a plus.
