As a SIM and Device Engineer, you will be essential to the successful delivery of technical specifications and management of SIM/eSIM/eUICC/iSIM products. This role requires a thorough understanding of device, SIM, and network interactions to support KORE's business objectives.
Detailed Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Director of SIM Engineering, this role is crucial for securing and retaining new business by collaborating with pre-sales, sales, product, and network engineering teams. Outcome-oriented, you must proficiently prioritize and manage stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage KORE SIM profiles throughout their lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with SIM manufacturers.
- Provide technical expertise on SIM cards, networks, and diagnostic tools.
- Assist with new technology trials, including sourcing equipment and quality assurance testing.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert on SIM-related queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SIM-related customer and stakeholder issues collaboratively.
- Contribute to knowledge management and issue resolution processes.
- Analyze and suggest longer-term solutions and improvements based on data-driven insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of new SIM architectures and cryptographic functions.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Wireshark).
- Solid knowledge of network architecture and industry standards.
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
