Your Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and enhancing a scalable data platform, developing and maintaining robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensuring data quality, performance, and cost optimization.

Tasks

• Building, operating, and developing a scalable data platform (Warehouse/Lake/Lakehouse)
• Developing and maintaining robust ETL/ELT pipelines integrating various data sources
• Ensuring data quality, performance, scalability, and cost optimization
• Implementing monitoring, governance, and security concepts (including GDPR)
• Collaborating closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams
• Automating data processes and continually improving existing architectures
• Actively shaping the data strategy and evaluating new technologies

Requirements

• Several years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, adhering to clean engineering standards (tests, CI/CD)
• Solid understanding of modern data architectures and modeling
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and popular data tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Spark, Snowflake)
• Strong quality and ownership mindset for productive data pipelines
• Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly and translate business requirements
• Team player with an interest in mentoring and continuous development
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
