Join Our Team as an Officer for General Plant Protection (m/f/d)

We are the state authority responsible for environment, conservation, agriculture, geology, and rural development in Saxony, offering a fixed-term position in Nossen.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement plant protection legislation for pesticide regulation, including approval processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate field trials for official pesticide testing and research.
  • Manage data collection and analysis using specialized software, and prepare reports.
  • Conduct surveys on pest occurrences as part of monitoring programs.
  • Produce reports and conduct knowledge transfer through presentations and publications.

Position Requirements:

  • Completed degree in agricultural sciences, preferably focusing on plant protection.
  • Deep knowledge of plant protection, agriculture, and relevant legislation.
  • Pesticide certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong data analysis skills.
  • Experience with MS Office, databases, and statistical methods.
  • German proficiency at C1 level; a valid driving license (Class B) and willingness to use a company vehicle.
