Job Overview
As a Manager (m/f/d) Business Development, your focus will be on sales of Clinical and Development Opportunities. Your role involves identifying and implementing new sales strategies and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect new leads and implement outreach campaigns to target new customers, collaborating with the Business Development Executive team.
- Plan, direct, and control sales and business activities for assigned customers alongside management.
- Negotiate contracts for manufacturing, development, formulation, and packaging services.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Present business proposals and strategically bundle services from development to commercial production.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, customer needs, and trends.
- Attend trade fairs, conferences, and seminars to expand awareness and generate leads.
- Engage in project work with Marketing and R&D for market research and sales promotion.
- Serve as the technical, customer-oriented interface between the customer and Simtra's Commercial team for optimal customer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in chemistry, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar position.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industries, ideally with Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADC) or contract manufacturing.
- Process Development/Commercial manufacturing experience in sterile injectables is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High level of initiative, self-organization, and a hands-on approach.
- Fluency in English required; 30%-50% travel expected.
