Role Overview: Finance Manager

We are seeking a Finance Manager for the DACH region. The Finance and Accounting department is crucial at CopeCart due to the multitude of transaction processes. In this role, you will oversee and develop existing financial processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overarching responsibility for all financial matters for our German entity
  • Management and development of finance, receivables, payables, tax, and asset accounting, including payment transactions
  • Timely preparation of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements
  • Creation of liquidity planning, budgeting forecasts, and their control
  • Identification of potentials and risks for CopeCart
  • Further development of accounting software based on Microsoft Dynamics
  • Responsibility for business cases of new business fields
  • Main contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of reports for management and internal stakeholders
  • Development of accounting policies and support of the audit process

Your Profile

  • Completed economic studies with a focus on finance/accounting or extensive experience as a certified accountant or tax consultant
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position (start-up experience is a plus)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting according to HGB and tax law
  • Preferably knowledge of IFRS accounting
  • Experience in developing and optimizing processes and structures
  • Expertise in preparing and submitting cross-EU VAT reports
  • Understanding of payroll tax and social security regulations
  • Experience in preparing financial statements
  • Basic knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Proficiency in DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics, and common MS Office applications
  • Fluent in German and English
