The Faculty of Design is looking to fill a position as soon as possible for **Labor Engineer for Applied Design Research (m/f/d)** Reference number: 12-03-26 Part-time with 20.05 hours/week. **Your Tasks** - Establishing and managing a cross-disciplinary Design Research Lab (DRL) for Cultural, Participatory and Material Research, supporting research and teaching. - Conducting experiments to improve practice-oriented research methods and competencies in applied design research (Futures Literacy, Cultural Literacy, Participation, Material Thinking, etc.). - Designing experimental spaces and tools to promote research in the areas of creative cooperation, participation, material research, cultural studies. - Collaborating with design and engineering teams in conceptualizing and implementing new formats, products, and processes. Interface work between education, research, and development for the transfer of knowledge, technology, and design, supporting students (BA/MA) and researchers in multidisciplinary projects in applied design research. **Your Profile** - Successfully completed studies in design or a comparable qualification as well as solid competencies in industrial design and the design of participation processes. - Skills in co-creative processes and design management, willingness to continue education, and a creative and experimental approach to tasks and requirements. - Willingness to engage across disciplines, programs, and workshops, working and planning independently. - High level of communication and cooperation skills, willingness to work intensively with students and professors. - If the required degree was obtained from a foreign university, we need a certificate evaluation from the ZAB (Central Office for Foreign Education) before signing the contract.
