We are currently hiring an IT System Engineer (m/f/d) for a leading provider of software-based information systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the reliable commissioning of software and communication components in customer projects, ensuring seamless server landscape operations.

Job Description

Join our team as an IT expert to help manage complex IT infrastructures and engage with the integration between hardware, software, and network technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical commissioning and integration of communication systems in customer projects.
• Independently install and integrate complex server landscapes, including virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Proxmox).
• Implement and maintain system monitoring tools to ensure smooth operations.
• Create comprehensive documentation for technical architectures and system configurations.
• Plan and conduct system and integration tests.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for technical inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal development and product management teams, as well as external partners.
• Actively contribute to the evolution of the system landscape and toolsets.
• Assist in creating technical concepts and proposals.
• Design and conduct workshops and training sessions for customers.

Requirements

• Successful completion of education or studies in IT.
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies and/or Windows/Linux servers.
• Good knowledge of telecommunication technology (especially VoIP, switches).
• Fluent German (C1 level) and basic English skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer projects (approx. 20% of the time).

Remote Work Policy

Work fully remotely from within Germany, with up to 20% travel required for client projects (accommodations and transport provided).
