Join Our Team as a DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) - 100% Remote in Germany
ACT Digital, a leading full-service IT provider, is seeking skilled DevOps Engineers to join our team following a significant contract win in the public sector.
About the Role
This full-time, remote position (within Germany) offers you the chance to be part of our esteemed expert team, starting from March 1, 2026. Occasional on-site visits may be required. Proficiency in German (minimum C1) and residency in Germany are mandatory. A current or initiable security clearance (SÜ2) is also essential.
Your Responsibilities
- Developing, operating, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for complex application landscapes
- Building and automating build, test, and deployment processes across various environments
- Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code concepts for reproducible, scalable systems
- Integrating and advancing container and orchestration solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Conducting code reviews, performance analyses, and troubleshooting within the DevOps context
- Collaborating closely with development, architecture, and operations to standardize automation and deployment workflows
- Supporting the introduction of new technologies and tools to enhance efficiency in build and release processes
- Specific project-related tasks are determined based on the framework agreement gained
Your Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software development with a focus on automation
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD toolchains (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- In-depth experience with container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Advanced understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with monitoring, logging & observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Understanding of security, policies, and compliance in a DevOps environment
- Experienced in working independently in larger, distributed project environments
Desirable Skills
- Public sector project experience (e.g., ITZBund, BSI, BMI)
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) or private cloud
- Experience with security & compliance requirements (BSI Basic Protection, ISO 27001)
