Deutsche Bahn is seeking a Construction Manager specializing in Telecommunications to join the DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH in either Essen or Cologne. This role will oversee infrastructure projects that are key to the nation’s mobility network.

Job Description

As a Construction Manager in Telecommunications, you will be responsible for the independent and accountable leadership of projects, ensuring they meet customer and regulatory standards. You will manage teams, coordinate resources, and oversee project completion from concept to implementation.

Tasks

• Lead telecommunication-based construction projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
• Mentor and manage assigned team members.
• Ensure timely and cost-efficient execution of construction activities.
• Optimize resource and personnel management, considering all relevant factors.
• Coordinate, supervise, and approve subcontractor services and negotiate additional offers.
• Maintain construction-related documents and ensure adherence to safety regulations and accident prevention measures.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering, or equivalent; alternatively, significant experience in a related field.
• Proven track record in infrastructure project management, particularly in telecommunications and ideally within railway infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations (especially VOB) and proficient in MS Office and IT tools.
• Goal-oriented, independent, and highly organized.
• Outstanding negotiation and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities; customer-focused.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel; valid driver's license and company vehicle provided for private use.
