Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate Chief of Staff (m/f/d) for the BR Puls format "Trasherchiert," produced for funk, contributing about 10 days per month as a freelance member.
About the Role
"Trasherchiert" is a YouTube & TikTok investigative format aimed at young audiences, aged 16 to 20, presenting engaging and creative analyses of various topics.
Responsibilities
- Act as the central contact point for content creation teams and individuals.
- Plan and schedule deadlines and publication dates for assigned topics.
- Procure and assign topics to authors (e.g., from pitch meetings).
- Initiate and manage creative processes for topic generation (e.g., brainstorming sessions).
- Coordinate conceptual development regarding topic scope, execution, structure, and narrative with authors.
- Approve all content, ensuring adherence to journalistic standards, and resolve program, copyright, and usage rights issues before publication.
Requirements
- Several years of experience as Chief of Staff or in a similar editorial role in digital video formats (preferably focused on young audiences).
- Strong understanding of the target group aged 16-20 and topics of interest to them.
- Excellent dramaturgical skills (both longform and vertical formats) and a willingness to challenge topics.
- Firm commitment to journalistic standards.
- Expertise in all vertical platforms and YouTube.
- Knowledge of studio production and working with hosts.
