We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our innovative team at GoTo, enabling seamless remote work solutions globally. This is a fully remote position based in Germany, offering you the flexibility to contribute from anywhere.

About the Role

As part of our engineering innovation team, you will collaborate closely with global teams to build and enhance our real-time communication products using cutting-edge technologies. Your contributions will be crucial in transforming workplace dynamics for millions worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and operate media and session control backend servers using NodeJS and TypeScript.
• Engage in working with cloud infrastructure and container technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Apply DevOps and infrastructure-as-code principles to manage service delivery and operations.
• Implement modern agile methodologies to deliver features efficiently.
• Collaborate with international teams across Germany, Canada, and India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 2-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient in building NodeJS microservices using TypeScript, preferably in AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking protocols, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team setting.
