We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our vibrant team at Kaufland, a key player in international online marketplaces. This role offers flexibility to work remotely within Germany or from various office locations.

Tasks

• Develop scalable and robust backend solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from coding to deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to achieve common goals.
• Drive process improvements and explore new tools and technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and high-performance code.
• Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements

• University degree in information technology, engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong background in backend development, especially with PHP and/or Golang.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices architecture. Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to embrace our international, English-speaking team culture.
