We are seeking apprentices (m/f/d) for the position of Specialist for Protection and Security at our Bonn location starting August 1, 2026.

Reliability is key, as during your apprenticeship, you will be involved in securing and protecting people and objects. You will learn how to assess dangerous situations correctly and support the development of effective measures to prevent and manage potential security threats.

To summarize, you will learn everything about protection and security regulations, particularly related to occupational, fire, environmental, and data protection.

  • Compliance with and monitoring of safety regulations, including fire protection
  • Surveillance and security of Deutsche Welle's buildings and facilities
  • Planning and implementing measures for hazard prevention
  • Contributing to security concepts and exciting projects within the security team
  • Using modern security technology and surveillance systems
  • Participating in large events as part of the security team
  • Handling visitors, guests, and employees in security-relevant situations
  • Collaborating with authorities and external security services
  • Participating in inter-company measures and deployment at external security companies

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Technical college or university entrance qualification
  • Very good German skills, at least good English skills, additional foreign language skills are advantageous
  • Interest in security, technology, and protection mechanisms
  • Sense of responsibility, reliability, and a high degree of discretion
  • Teamwork and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to work shifts and flexible hours
